Free Nintendo Wii ?

Can you really get a Nintendo Wii for "free" ?

I'm pretty sure that just about everyone who can't afford to get one of those "next generation" gaming console are desperately looking for a way to get one at an exceptionally low price. Well even if one of these consoles were to be sold at low price, I still couldn't afford one and so being the cheap person that I am, :) I decided to scour the internet in search of a free Nintendo Wii gaming console. This was the one system that I really wanted ever since I heard that it used the 'nun-chuck' controllers for character movements. I've only had the pleasure to experience playing this gaming system once at a friend's house and since then I was truly in love.

And so back to my adventure of seeking out ways to get a Nintendo Wii for free. If you go into any search engine and type in the phrase "free nintendo wii" or "free sony playstation 3" or "free xbox 360," then you'll sure be bombarded with all these sites claiming that you could get your hands on one of these baby for no cost at all.

So I decided to click on one of these site and that's when it all began....

First and foremost, it asked me to enter in personal information such as my e-mail, name, home address, phone number, etc. Then after that I was taken to a page which asks me to answer a few short survey-like questions. After all this easy stuff was done, I was then taken over to a new page which stated that I need to complete at least 3 trial offers. This required a credit card so I was a bit nervous, but nonetheless I signed up for 3 of the cheapest offer they had (BlockBuster, Video Professor, Netflix). As soon as I had clicked on the next button, I was taken to a second page which I had to do pretty much the same thing, except this time I had to sign up for 3 more offers that cost more then those previous ones. But all these services were trial offers and so, I made sure that I had marked down the cancellation date correctly so that I could cancel all of them before my credit card would be charged.

Well after the second phase, I was taken to yet another page of offerings that I had to sign up for. They claim that this was the last page I had to complete in order to receive my free Nintendo Wii. That's when I thought to myself, "Hellz yea!!" but as soon as I scrolled down to see how much this 3rd group of offering would cost me, I was just devastated and all hope was lost.....

This 3rd group of offering was just way too much for me. First they requested that I sign up for a trial offer of the Vonage VOIP phone service. Then I had to sign up for Dish Network satellite T.V., and after that I had to sign up for Comcast high speed internet service. The problem is that the Dish Network satellite offer required a 1 year contract and if I decide to cancel before the one year period (which I was planning on doing), I would have to suffer a termination fee.

There was nothing left for me to do since I couldn't sign up for these offers. I guess no Nintendo Wii for me yet...
